I originated from Llangernyw and I have lived in the Rhos area since I married a local girl Zara, over 40 years ago and I have 2 sons Jonathon & Matthew and 4 grandchildren. Before I retired I worked as a lecturer at Warrington College following a long service working for Manweb in Legacy.

Kevin Hughes - Political Persuasion: Labour
I have lived all my life within the community of Rhosllannerchrugog. I am married to Tracey and have two children. I was educated at Ysgol y Grango and Ysgol Rhiwabon. I went on to study Physical Chemistry at college. I am a Welsh speaker and I am currently employed within the Education Department at Glyndwr University.
I have been a member of Rhosllannerchrugog Community Council for the last 10 years. I am proud to have been elected as Vice-Chairman of the Council for 2013-14. In addition to my Community Council commitments, I was elected to represent the Ponciau Ward on Wrexham County Borough Council in May 2012.
I have worked tirelessly on your behalf and for the benefit of the community as a whole for the last ten years. Since my election to Wrexham County Borough Council I have been appointed to the following committees:
- Planning Committee
- Homes, Environment and Communities Scrutiny Committee
- Partnerships and Collaboration Scrutiny Committee
I am also a Governor at Ysgol y Grango and Ysgol Rhiwabon. I take an active part in the running of the schools.
I have introduced myself to as many of the residents of the ward as possible, including some residents in the more outlying areas such as the community of Aberoer.
